Brain has unique ability to perceive world around us. Our brain is divided into two hemisphere, left and Right connected by thick cables of nerves (corpus collosum). Apart from controlling opposite side of body parts, Left portion or Left Side (LS) is mostly related to calculation, logical, detail oriented, reality based , language, safe etc., whereas right side (RS) is responsible for emotions, beliefs, big picture, risk taking, imagination etc. To be on a safer side think as a logical distinction rather than physical separation.
Right Side (RS) : RS believes in actually living and experiencing, rather than going in detail of everything. There is no logic and it seems vague to LS. It takes the holistic picture. E.g., It is difficult to explain color to a color blinded person. A person can learn all the technicalities and science but cannot experience it. but if color vision is restored, he will understand in seconds what other person is talking about. Religous experiences are difficult to explain in words. It may be far from reality or an illusion but still it is an important part of human psychology and cannot be ignored. It deals with the spiritual aspect of a person. Love, God, faith, innovation, parables are normally part of it. It is mostly corrupted and misunderstood as it is based on experiencing which becomes difficult to represent or talked about. It can have multiple meanings and contains contradictions in itself.
Left side (LS) : LS is more interested in dissecting problems and understanding the details of everything. It goes with the principle that if we can’t make it, we can’t understand it. It tries to explain world logically and why things are like the way they are. It can be represented in theories, calculations and equations and can be defined by set of rules. Science, mathematics, businesses are normally part of it. It is less ambigous and can be represented in writings or formulas. It has limited solution set. This has seen lots of progress in recent times.
Merging the both : Conflicts are going on from ages between these two aspects of life. You can’t merge one for the benefit of other side but only for a life as a whole . As an example RS, If one is talking about love (RS), than we should avoid if .. then .. else (logical, hence LS) kinds of things . love has to be beyond profit and loss. It has to be unconditional. Another example of LS, Some people who do business (LS) incurs heavy losses because they mix trust, friendship and other RS stuff . Emotional fools cannot be successful in business. As an example of better merging, Financial Independence can only be achieved by merging both side where Financial represents LS and Independence as RS. Financial independent person may be less wealthy compare to financial dependent person. For betterment, you are bound to give up something from one side of aspect. Awareness, Stop & think are two major tools to improve both sides. Some greats like Buddha or Nanak started from LS by questioning everything logically and settled down on RS aspects of life. Our left side is responsible for being atheist and right side for theist ( May be left will go to hell and right will go to heaven).
If you start accepting both aspects of life, It helps in understanding different people. Some are inclined or preferred to use one side over another. Recently, Science is trying to merge and come up with Theory Of Everything for quantum and general relativity. Some are trying computational and fact based search engines. In same sense, Life has to emerge from both sides and that will be the complete theory of Life.

I am also a fan of compact and short things.
If you have to read Tintin or deltora quest, you read whole book in one go and still think it finished early. Here one page looks long. I think it is because of interest.
