Predicting future …

Sometime people show newspaper clippings regarding the prediction they have done in the past. Nobody can argue about the authenticity of the claim as it is actually valid proof from the newspaper. How to do it? Predict different things on different newspaper which might have a possibility to happen in future years. Try to predict on different dates on different newspaper and with different styles broadly and vaguely. Now, if some of the stuff you predicted becomes true, you can show various clippings of the news paper. If some of the people gets to know about other predictions, it can always be claimed that it might still happen in future. That is why it is a good idea that the predictions should be vague and broader in area to fit in various scenarios.

Another way of predicting the stock market: Send emails or letters to say 20,000 people regarding stock market prediction. Predict that next month market will be bullish to 10,000 and bearish to another 10,000 different people. Next month, if the market is bullish or bearish, pick same 10,000 people where prediction was correct and send 500 bearish and 500 bullish letters. Again next month predict 250 people bullish and bearish. People will be convinced regarding predictions as time passes. The correction of prediction can be elongated by taking more people initially. Here we are only concentrating on successful cases. (from a book, “fooled by randomness”).

I have seen some of the astrologer who predicts future by merely watching hands or faces. They are actually taking information and predicting at the same time. They start tactfully and vaguely and try to fill the gaps of information getting from their customers. If something goes wrong, they always have tons of reason to explain that. This art can be developed by practicing on different people. You just have to watch carefully.
